At the second meeting of the newly-named Mat-Su Valley Bead Society on November 5, 1998, a logo competition was announced. A couple of meetings later the membership had nine entries from which to choose. When the votes were counted, Cheryl Lacy's logo had been selected:
This was our logo for a couple of years, but Cheryl wasn't happy with it, so in February 2000 she brought a new version of the logo to the society meeting. After some scanning and tweaking, our current logo first appeared in black & white on the May 2000 newsletter. The MSVBS logo depicts Pioneer Peak on an oval-shaped bead.
